Trade Windows was founded back in 1983 and quickly became a trusted manufacturer of Smart’s commercial and domestic aluminium windows and doors. And to this day, we still have a successful trading relationship with them.
After gaining some experience in the industry and conducting market research, Trade Windows noticed the trend towards uPVC products. It was in 1985 that they decided to manufacture uPVC windows and doors.
The market had become very saturated with uPVC products (of varying qualities!), but there was one quality product that stood out to them – the Spectus System. It offered the complete range of products that Trade Windows wanted to produce, and since then, we have been manufacturing the Spectus range.
In 2011, Trade Windows expanded by purchasing a new factory and moving to a 40,000 sq ft site in Bishopsworth, Bristol. The expansion meant that we could increase our product range and production levels to manufacture in excess of 500 uPVC frames per week.
Alongside our Bristol factory, we have a factory outlet in Woking, Surrey; finely placing us to support local installers across Surrey, Hampshire and the surrounding areas.
Quality craftsmanship is paramount in everything we do, which is why we enrolled in the recognised BSI scheme back in 2001. We’ve even achieved both BS7412 and BS7950 for which our frames are continually tested at BSI’s test centre. On top of this we hold 11 window energy rating certifications covering both A and C rated windows in a range of different products.
As a company, we enforce a quality policy to ensure the production and supply of the highest quality uPVC windows and doors. It’s essential that all processes lead to the completion and satisfaction of our customers’ requirements.
Our products are BFRC rated, an independent verification of the energy efficiency of our windows and doors. BFRC rated energy efficient windows and energy efficient doors carry a ‘rainbow’ label.
Our Windows are certified Secured by Design (SBD). SBD focusses on the design and security for new and refurbished homes, commercial premises and car parks.
CENSolutions’ CMS Scheme ensures compliance with BS EN 14351-1, BS 6375-1:2015 and PAS 24:2016.
E.R. Certification conducts assessments and audits to enable window fabrication & installation companies to operate the WER scheme under the auspices of the BFRC.
